Yearbook

By: Ian Tan, Aryan Bachu

Most students flip through the yearbook without realizing the hours that the yearbook team puts into it. Behind every photo, every design, every page, is a team working on it every day to try to capture the spirit of our school year. Though still in progress, this is what goes on behind the scenes.

Since I meant for this club to be laid back, I gave members roles they could choose or create. Some became formatters who were in charge of designing and laying out the pages, making sure everything looked clean and consistent withto the theme. Others chose to be writers, a role that also included brainstorming ideas to match the theme. They came up with clever pages and titles. Editors do the final checks, double-checking spelling, grammar, and any visible errors. We had some in charge of budgeting to keep track of how much we could spend and how much it would cost. Everyone apart of the team took photos, but the main photographers had their cameras ready for anything. As for me, I lead the yearbook club pretty relaxed as assignments are due in one week, and if someone doesn’t meet it, I’m not harsh on them.

Currently, we have compiled all the images except for a few events that we are waiting on, all the writers have done their work, and the formatters are still working on the theme. While I can’t reveal the theme yet, please look forward to the release of the yearbook. And please buy it! It really will mean a lot to everyone who worked hard behind the scenes, and supports us as a community. This isn’t just a book—it’s a collection of memories we made together, and we can’t wait for you to see it.
