My Halloween
Halloween morning, I woke up at 6:00 AM with the intention of arriving at school in full costume. That included the clown makeup, the outfit, and Demonia 318 platform boots. They had a 3 ½ inch platform, 8 buckles, and came up to my knees. However, the morning prior, I was ill and had been sent home. When I woke up this Halloween, I felt much better, but quickly deteriorated into my previous state. My eyebrows were glued down and hidden behind white foundation along with my face and neck. By 8:30 AM, my face was bare and I was in bed.
By 4:00 PM, we had decided I was well enough to go trick-or-treating. I took an hour and forty five minutes to get into costume. At 5:45, I drove half an hour to my friend’s house and walked two streets before they decided that we had gotten enough candy. My other friend and I weren’t quite satisfied with our haul, so we drove back to my neighborhood and continued our hunt. We walked by houses with empty bowls and one house with a gnome that embodied the true meaning of Halloween. We also discovered houses with bright lights, 7 foot tall clowns, and terrifying jack-o’-lanterns.
My friend and I returned to my house at 10:00 PM. Although our legs ached and our arms hurt from the multiple pounds of candy we’d accumulated, our Halloween spirit still remained. To end our night, we ate our candy and watched the Halloween movie Big Hero 6. At 11:00 PM, we said our goodbyes and went off to bed. Considering my costume, my haul, and my company, the Halloween of ’25 was my best one yet.
