Artistic Inspiration

by Niko Adams

Every artist draws inspiration from something.

Whether that source is music, landscapes, people, films, books, or poems. We all find our creativity nourished by the world around us, and that helps us grow as people, and strengthen our techniques and skills.

I personally find my inspiration from films, video games, and other artists. I grew up surrounded by video games, Japanese media, and action films, so I’m no stranger to the comic book genre and its large influence on modern media.
Among my inspirations are Youtube artists Ross Draws and Shal. E, Star Wars, the Legend of Zelda franchise, and many other Japanese ( and Japanese-inspired ) films and pop culture phenomenons. Artists use inspiration to learn, to gather techniques and methods, and use them to cultivate their own garden of artwork and creativity. I’ve included some pictures below to give you as readers a general idea of where I’m coming from 🙂
