Arcade Sidebar: Valorant

In this issue of the Arcade Sidebar, the gamers come together to play Valorant, a first-person-shooter game in which a team of five attackers try to plant a spike on a site while a team of five defenders try to eliminate them. The game is heavily inspired by another first-person-shooter called CS-GO. The game is pretty simple to play through. Essentially, in the pre-round, the members of each team select agents that each have different abilities. They must choose strategically as some agents are more beneficial than others in certain situations. Once the game starts, both teams start off with the same amount of credits.With these credits, they can buy guns, abilities, and shields. As the rounds progress, the teams get more credits. If you win, you receive more credits. The teams continue to battle until the end of the first half. Then, the teams switch sides. They continue to play through again until one team reaches 13 wins.
