Arcade Sidebar: Phasmophobia

The Arcade Sidebar will be a recurring feature where the audience is transported into the minds of true connoisseurs of the video gaming world–these experts happen to be a part of our very own student body. As we continue our dissection of our student body, we shift our attention to a third episode, this time scarier, more intense, and halloween-ey: enter Phasmophobia.

Phasmophobia is a 4 player online co-op psychological horror game that recently gained traction among Twitch streamers for its frightening gameplay. As a part of a paranormal investigation team, you are sent into various houses or sites to ascertain the source of paranormal activities. Through the aid of various radios, dials, and meters, you traverse through homes gathering evidence about the presence of ghosts. You are guided by your ghost hunting gear as you try desperately to stay mentally collected. Regardless, it all falls to shambles when the presence of the unusual is confirmed. As the beeping of your equipment, the hairs on the end of your arm, and the inexplicable tension rise that’s when you realize–the dead have already risen, and they are much disturbed. Venture into the minds of two brave students who hunted ghosts and answered a few questions along the way.
