A look into the 25’ season of basketball and how the season is shaping out.

This NBA season has been on for over a month now with over 15 games played. Now that the season has had time to develop, we decided to share our opinions on the most interesting stories from this season.
Cavs Hot 15-0 Start
This season, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been off to a great start. They began with a 15-0 record despite resting their star player Donovan Mitchell. Only three other teams in NBA history have accomplished this feat — the 1949 Washington Capitals, the 1994 Houston Rockets, and the 2016 Golden State Warriors. This puts the Cavaliers in very good company, especially with the 2016 Warriors, who had an NBA-best 24-0 start. This Warriors team finished with a record of 73-9, the best record in NBA history, making it unlikely that the Cavaliers will surpass them.
Regardless, this hot start of the Cavs has not come out of nowhere. Over the past few years, they have made decisions that have led to significant improvements. After Lebron James left the Cavaliers for the Lakers in 2018, the team had to rebuild. The organization traded away Kyrie Irving, and over the years, made many trades, acquiring valuable talent like all-stars Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen. They also drafted well, and allowed young players time to develop their skills. These decisions allowed for the Cavs to make the playoffs for the past two seasons, and along with other improvements, they may be able to make it further into the playoffs. Overall, the Cavaliers did an incredible job rebuilding their roster in a relatively short amount of time, and their future looks promising.
Lebron and Bronny – Adi
One of the rumors going around the NBA for the past few years was that Lebron James wanted to play with his sons, and this year, he got his wish. The Los Angeles Lakers drafted Bronny James at the 55th overall pick of the draft in the second round.
This is a testament to the longevity of Lebron’s career. He has played 22 seasons in the NBA, and is turning 40 this December, an unprecedented age in the world of basketball and other high- impact contact sports.
- Might add the other son that Lebron might want to play with
- Maybe a quote from Lebron where he says how much longer he would be playing.
Warriors strong start:
The Warriors started off the season with a strong performance. Currently, they are standing as the number one team in the Western Conference with a record of 10 and 2. Although the Warriors star player Stephen Curry has been performing incredibly well, some new players stepped into the spotlight. Some of the players include Buddy Heild and Andrew Wiggins who consistently drop around 15 to 20 points per game. Additionally, Draymond Green, and Kevon Looney’s defense and playmaking help unify the team. A few games back, Curry injured his ankle, but the Warriors were able to maintain a high level of play, showing the team’s chemistry and skills. The Warriors’ bench has also been a significant factor in their success. Players like Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody have stepped up, providing valuable minutes and contributing on both ends of the floor.
Dallas Mavericks & Klay Thompson:
The Dallas Mavericks recently picked up a few players, one of which is Klay Thompson. Thompson’s move to the Mavericks has been a significant talking point this season. Having him in a different jersey than the Warriors seems surreal. Although Klay’s transition to the new team has been smooth on the court, it has also brought some drama off the court, particularly involving his former teammate, Stephen Curry. In a recent pregame encounter between the Mavericks and the Warriors game, Curry stated that Klay Thompson did not acknowledge him during the warm-ups, which sparked speculation about the state of their relationship. After the national anthem and the pre-game warm-ups, the game began. In the game between the Warriors and Mavericks, both teams showcased their strengths. The game was extremely close and Stephen Curry, known for his clutch performances, did not disappoint, scoring 37 points, and making some clutch shots at the end of the fourth quarter. The game ended with the Warriors winning with a score of 120 to 117.
