Witherly Heights Takes a Walk: The SAT Edition
By Akash Sethi and Tejas Raghuram
In Witherly Heights Takes a Walk, our journal goes the extra mile. Our staff, Akash Sethi and Tejas Raghuram, venture into the world beyond 750 Witherly to cull opinions, reactions, snorts and raised eyebrows from people on the streets about our zinging zeigeist.
Introduced in 1926, the SAT is a three-hour test with an additional 50 minute essay. This standardized test has students preparing for hours hoping to eventually get their best possible score since it is a major deciding factor in college admissions. Needless to say, the SAT testing can be very stressful. In this installment of Witherly Heights Takes a Walk, we asked students how they felt just after the SAT. Additionally, we asked how they prepared, if they would study the same way again, and if they used Khan Academy, a College Board partner.
